I’ve come up with a new idea to help you party girls inspire others AND get inspired! It’s kind of fun to just throw a theme idea out there and ask…What Would You Do? So many of us will just never have a chance to throw a party for every theme out there. But we still have good ideas to share…so WHY NOT?
So, please leave a comment and tell us what you would do and what great ideas you have or have seen for a Nautical Baby Shower!
I’m excited to hear what ya’ll come up with!

One idea that immediately came to mind was to possibly incorporate the nautical lettering system as a banner for the party! I found this link that shows you all the flags that represent each letter of the alphabet. http://www.soundkeepers.com/kids/alphabet/ Spell out the babies name using these flags and have that be the party banner.
Blue, white and red. Lots of stripes and sailor’s hats. Rescue ring shaped cookies or cakes. Lifesaver candies. Invitation with “AHOY”. or “ANCHORS AWAY”. A telescope and/ or crow’s nest mock up. Anchors. Ropes, lots of ropes. Ship’s steering wheel shaped cake. or decorations. Captain, first mate etc…. Tshirts. Orange juice to prevent scurvey. In the summer, “sails” as shelter from the sun outside (sheets? ikea sun sails?).
@Emily: Emily I like the way you think!
How about a Sail Boat as a Centerpiece……
Lots of navy blue ticking fabric. Small newspaper sailboats, everywhere! Red polka dot ribbon thrown in for good measure. Hurricane lamps filled with sand and white simple candles in the sand. Pic-nic lunches in packed in brown kraft boxes.
When I think of Nautical I do think of all the above, but I also immediately think of clean, fresh and all white. I actually did a nautical baby shower for a friend of mine. Check out the pictures athttp://enchantedexpectations.blogspot.com/search/label/Nautical%20theme
