I’ve come up with a new idea to help you party girls inspire others AND get inspired! It’s kind of fun to just throw a theme idea out there and ask…What Would You Do? So many of us will just never have a chance to throw a party for every theme out there. But we still have good ideas to share…so WHY NOT?
So, please leave a comment and tell us what you would do and what great ideas you have or have seen for a MONKEY BIRTHDAY PARTY!
I’m excited to hear what ya’ll come up with!

Ok, I could not help but put this on here! http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=27626319
You could make a monkey cake using 2 round chocolate cake pans. You could use one for the face and the other cut in shape for the ears.
If I were throwing a monkey party I would do something to emphasize bananas for the food. I think it would be fun to do banana splits and let the kids have fun making their own. I think it could also be fun to somehow create a banana inspired invitation that you “peeled” open. Of course if you didn’t want to do the banana split thing you could do banana cake. I’ve made banana cake from scratch before and it’s so yummy! For the filling you can just use banana flavored pudding with slices of fresh banana mixed in. Oh and a contest with the kids to see who can do the BEST monkey sounds!
We did a curious george theme 1st birthday. For a favor I made and packaged little mini loaves of banana bread for each guest.
I did a monkey-themed party for my daughter’s 2nd birthday this fall. I made chocolate chip banana cupcakes with chocolate frosting – they were a huge hit! Here’s the recipe (on my blog): http://www.givinguponperfect.com/2009/10/going-bananas-for-cupcakes.html
I love the idea of using a mod monkey theme – I did a party inspiration for this theme – you can see it at http://www.thepartydress.net/?p=3603.
I’ve done a Curious George party before. It’s a super cute theme. I like to use a bundle of bananas to hold down the balloons. I also cut bananas in half, dipped them in chocolate, stuck a Popsicle stick on and froze them for yummy treats.
Thank You! My heart skipped a beat when I seen this post! I’m planning my daughter’s monkey themed 2nd birthday party. I’m going to order the pink printable monkey party over at Parties by Hardie’s Etsy shop. I plan to fill apothecary jars with banana shaped candy. The game will be a monkey bean bag toss with banana shaped bean bags. I like the idea of having a banana spilt bar. How cute would it be to give the book Five Little Monkeys Bake a Birthday Cake as favors?
I just happen to have thrown a monkey party for my 6 year old daughter last month. I have to admit, at first it was a hard theme to come up with ideas but in the end I had more ideas than time in the party

In case I get to throw a Monkey Theme Party, I guess I would use lots of bananas… Maybe use them as centerpieces….. but there has to be LOTS and LOTS of bananas…
I just had a Monkey themed birthday party for my 7 year old daughter last weekend. Take a peek over at my blog: http://craftparty.blogspot.com/2009/12/monkey-birthday-party.html
